The Lagos State Pension Fee (LASPEC) has warned 245 pensioners who acquired pension advantages final month to be cautious of fraudsters.
The Director-Common of the company, Babalola Obilana, decried the actions of fraudulent people claiming to have affiliations with the Fee.
Whereas talking on the final 88th Bond Presentation Ceremony, Obilana warned Lagos State pensioners to be cautious of impostors.
“We need to urge the retirees to keep away from any particular person or affiliation demanding cash in alternate for fast-tracking fee of pension advantages.
“At LASPEC, we would not have any such intermediaries. You have to be cautious of such fraudsters. Please, all the time contact us instantly for all inquiries,” he mentioned.
Obilana, revealed that the mentioned particular person has since been reported to the police. “LASPEC has put in place strict enterprise processes for the seamless fee of entitlements; you don’t want a intermediary to entry your fund,” he said.
